so sad about what happened
during the Boston Marathon yesterday.
i had been watching the marathon
on my laptop all morning long
as well as following a few friends who ran it
via text message updates.
it was so so sad to see how this happy morning for so many ended up.
gladly all of my friends were safe.
this morning all my running girls
(that weren't in Boston)
ran wearing green and/or race shirts in honor of Boston.
we also ended our run with 3 "temple hill" repeats
for the 3 who died.
i love this quote by Katherine Switzer:
"if you are losing faith in human nature,
go out and watch a marathon"
though sad on this day...
it is still so true.
it is amazing how many people were running
into the chaos to help strangers...
and to continuously hear stories today
of people greatly helping others.
