Santa!

We were at the Dicken's Festival in SLC tonight

and thought we'd try our luck with Saint Nick...

it did NOT disappoint!

this day

this cute boy asks me at least once

almost daily...

"mom, what should we do with this day?"

sometimes he asks this first thing in the morning,

sometimes at bedtime,

sometimes when we really haven't done much with the day,

& sometimes when we have just come back from some big adventure or a million errands...

but, every time this sweet boy asks will all sincerity,

"mom, what should we do with this day?"

it makes me stop and think

"what have we done with this day?"

have i spent enough time with him?

is one of the babes pulling on my leg while i try to accomplish some household task that could totally wait?

have i taught my boys anything?

how much TV have they watched?

am i setting a good example to my Beckley boy about how we should spend our days?
"have i done any good in the world today?"

so, each time my beck asks me this,
i'm going to stop and do something amazing.
and, amazing doesn't have to be something big...
amazing can be stopping to give him a kiss
or sitting on the floor and playing with one of the babes for a few minutes.
because, i'm pretty sure to them at that moment,
that would seem pretty amazing.

i can't figure out why my hip is hurting...

but, i am NOT happy that i can't run.  boo. 

hoping it gets better soon

now, i have twins.

(they are dang cute & fun though,

so i'll call it a good trade!)

drink twice as much DDP, of course!

this Cross Country National Championship team!

it will always be one of the best days of my life.

i LOVED running at that time in my life...

but, you know...

i think i love running more and more as time goes on.

i would so love to be able

to run that fast for just one day again!!!...

but, i sure did LOVE my 4 not-so-fast miles this morning!

it's beginning to look a lot like christmas...

today,

beck and adrian went to pick out our tree.

good job boys!

a live tree just makes a home feel so cozy.

then tonight,

we headed up to SLC to see the lights on Temple Square.

our thanksgiving day

i woke up early and met a few friends to go on a long-ish run

and then adrian went to cross fit.

the boys enjoyed some chocolate donuts

while watching the Macy's Parade...

although, it didn't last that long,

after a few minutes beck told me that

"the babes want to watch Dora momma".

 then, we headed to the zoo

for the Feast with the Beast.

it was cool.

the elephant pumpkin smash.

a polar bear eating a huge pumpkin.

it was a fun day!

 later that evening,

we headed over the Brown's 

for Thanksgiving dinner.

i had everyone make the "thankful banner" on the top.

it was cute & fun.

Beck also made the "happy thanksgiving!" banner.

no black friday shopping for us...

we were all in bed by 10PM.

thankful for things big & small

this thanksgiving, 

the browns are thankful for

lots of things.

some big & important things and 

some small & seemingly insignificant things.

regardless of the "importance", they all bring us happiness 

and we like to be happy.

beck's prayer from the other night:

"protect me from the mice, the moose & the guinea pig"

the other day i said that my stomach hurt...

beck asked "why?"

and i said "oh i just have some gas"

and beck says in a very concerned voice 

"momma we aren't apposed to eat gas.... it is yucky... it's only for the cars"

i am pretty darn sure that

my beckley boy

is the funniest boy in the world.

it's beginning to look like christmas...

i decided since beck is my little artist lately

and because we will have 3 boys 2 and under this year,

that we would make the ornaments for our christmas tree this year.

we started making some tonight for FHE...

beck loved it.

and, since we will be in hawaii on christmas,

we decided we would count down to when we leave for Hawaii!

in 25 days we will be on our to have a mele kalikimaka!

one of these things is not like the other...

poor crewby...

is not a happy boy.

this little guy still isn't feeling well...

hopefully, tomorrow he will be better...

i so hope.

she lives in london,

but comes to the US a couple times a year

to do some photo shoots...

and, we were lucky enough 

to have her take some pics of our family

about a month ago.

it was CRAZY TOWN

trying to get 3 little boys to cooperate,

but, i love the pictures she got!

they capture what our kids & life are like right now absolutely perfectly!

my poor little crewby

this little guy always seems to get sick.

he is sick again today.

 so far,

beck & mac seem to be okay.

and, mckay is loving having all the toys to himself.

this is my poor little boy right now...

he just doesn't want to sleep in his crib.

so cute all snuggled up with his dad & his doggie...

but, i think it's going to be a long night.

i decided to host a little

art day

at our house

with a few of beck's friends.

we made did some painting, 

made a turkey craft,

had some snacks...

and, then we got a bit (well, A LOT) messy...

and had tons of fun

with some cool whip!

this is something i remember

my mom doing when i was little...

you just spread a ton of cool whip all over

a table and let the kids draw and eat away...

 it was a total hit!

 they loved it so much

that most of them needed a bath after!

we love art!

Anniversary date

Here is how we spent our

4th Anniversary...

first we went to the temple...

then out for a yummy dinner

at Wild Rose...

and, then we went to see a movie

(new James Bond).

Adrian even bought me $4 diet coke -

now, that is love!

Adrian also got me these beautiful roses.
