just like Pa

he had a helmet like Pa too

but it kept falling off 

because he was trying to kick the football 

"really far like Pa!"

silly boy.

this is how my beckley boy went to bed the other night...

with his new snow boots on

(he LOVES these boots!  he wears them often.  

and, the first thing he asks every morning when he wakes up is "did it snow while i was asleep?"  

not that he needs snow as an excuse to wear those boots!) 

and snuggling up to his toy broom.

today,

beck was playing by himself 

& i hear him say "excuse me".

i asked why he said that & he responds:

"because i made a fart with my mouth"

(otherwise known as a burp.)

and, lately,

when i smell something

& ask him if he has poops?

he says:

"no, just a big fart mom"

(which means he totally has poops but just doesn't want his diaper changed)

sorry for the potty talk...

but, come on, it is funny stuff!

love my silly beckley boy.

please keep us "yaughing" for a "yong yong" time!

McKay has had a rough life lately.

so so so much whining & fussing.

he is a TOTAL momma's boy.

and just a sensitive little dude.

tonight at bedtime,

he would not stop crying.

i went in a few times...

offered him a bottle,

checked his diaper,

tried to rock him...

but, my Mack is not much of a snuggler... at all.

so, i figured i'd just let him "cry it out"....

well, this went on too long.

i went in and picked up this sweet boy

and just held his head tightly down on my shoulder...

he fought it for a bit,

but then his whole body just relaxed into mine.

ahhh....

we just rocked like that for a long while.

my Mack just needed some extra love tonight...

(whether he realized it or not)

and, turns out, so did i.

"all you need is love."

apparently, he needed some extra love too.

(don't worry, i'll make sure that Crew gets in on this action tomorrow)

CRAZY day!

So happy to be home,

but my 3 little guys were all

needing/wanting too much attention...

This pretty much sums up my day...

There was so much crying that at this point all I could do was laugh 
& snap a few photos of the action. 
 Beck caught onto my laughter & starting laughing too... 
which sadly, I think made the babes even madder.

Ai yi yi...

I'm at the gym right now for a little sweat escape!

to see lots of family
& enjoy some fun in the sun!

we attempted family pictures tonight
with the fabulous Lindsay Silsby of Pied Piper.

and, well...
it was pretty much CRAZY TOWN!
fussy babies, a naughty toddler, wind, rain...
just all around CRAZY.

i was a bit frustrated... 

(can you see the kids literally jumping from adrian's arms to mine...

and, beck was all about posing on his own terms)

but, you know... 
this is my life.
we ARE crazy town these days.

so, i might as well try to embrace it!?!?!
(and go get a mcflurry to make me feel better)

luckily, we get to have 2nd attempt tomorrow (due to the rain out),
so.... wish us luck.
and, hey, if it's just as CRAZY as today...
hopefully, i can embrace it and laugh.
(well, and, if it's crazy again, i might just need another mcflurry too, right?)

my boys lately...

here are a few of my fave pics of my boys from the last week or so...

i sure do love these 3 little guys.

this was this morning.

i came home from my run at about 7

and the house was dark & silent...

and, then i heard a sweet 

"momma... momma".

my beckley boy.

i went up and hopped in bed with him

he was so excited & is always snuggly.

our mornings are usually busy & loud, 

so this was a sweet moment for us both.

this little guy couldn't stop giggling.

loved it.

it didn't last long...

as we soon heard the babes crying,

but, i'm so glad i got a pic to capture this sweet moment.

this guy cries a lot.

(he is a TOTAL momma's boy)

but, when he smiles...

it is magical.

his whole face is happy...

and it is totally contagious.

(in this picture he still has tears in his eyes but is pure happines.)

when we are out about,

McKay makes everyone we pass by smile.

"Crewby is a silly boy"

Beck says this often.

and, it is so true.

this little guy is a total goof.

he almost always has a dog or other toy

in his mouth as he is crawling around ot playing ot whatever.

we love our goof ball.

STILL CATCHING UP: the beach house! (august 2012)

in august,

we took a road trip 

to Carlsbad, CA

to stay at my Uncle's beach house.

my sister lives there too, so

it was the perfect vacation.

here are a bunch of pics (in random order)...

and, we were off...

the drive actually went pretty well...

the boys did great.

here is me & adrian

we got to see a bunch of friends

beck LOVED playing with all his cousins!

the babes loved their first time on the beach!

my sister, Amy, and i

took all our boys to the beach one day.

that's 2 moms

& 7 boys!

the triple came with us!

and, so we spent lots of nap times walking along the beach.

it was perfect -

the boys all slept in the stroller while i walked up and down the beach.

the babes loved the water...

beck was a bit more hesitant.

but, he LOVED playing in the sand.

this is how bedtime went a lot while we were at the beach house
