that gets sick or falls & gets a bump or such...

poor little dude.
good thing he is such a sweet boy.

on the left is my mom with me

moments

these are the moments...

that make being a mom so awesome & amazing
and so totally worth all those not so fun times.

Spring!!!

my boys are LOVING be able to play outside!
although, it is a bit challenging for me to keep track of them all...

(ps- it was about 4PM when these pics were taken...
it was a "stay in your PJs all day" sorta day)

and are always willing to go to the park with us
(because i REALLY don't think i could do it on my own?!?!)

(especially with his daddy)

daddy

today as adrian was leaving for work,
beck yelled after him:
"thanks for living with me"

Adrian ran a one day Red Rock Relay race last weekend.
the first thing that Beck asked when Adrian
came home was "where's your neckalace?"
and he didn't take that medal off all day long

imagination

I LOVE this boy's IMAGINATION!!!

he has a great imagination.
and, i am so glad that i get to enjoy
and be apart of it everyday.

i hope that i may always
encourage & foster
his imagination.

this day he told me that he was going to fly to "bawaii"
and bring back mimi & papa.
he put on his cape
and even made a rope & golf club contraption
for mimi & papa to hold onto as they flew back to our house.
he really thought this was going to happen.
so, we went outside
(don't worry i put some pants & shoes on him first)
my little guy confidently & with total determination
walked down our front steps...
and then, took a few big jumps...
sorta waiting for "it" to happen each time.
after a few jumps,
he turned around to me
and said "mom it willn't work".
he walked back up the stairs and inside the house.
"mom my super powers willn't work and the wind isn't big enough"
he walked straight inside and sat on that bench for a few minutes.
when mckay woke up from his nap a few minutes later,
beck told him in all somber seriousness...
"kaybe, i can't fly."

but, don't you worry he was right back to trying to fly
the very next day.

 cardboard boxes.
we have so much fun with them around here.
monsters,
houses,
rockets,
garbage trucks,
pinatas,
cars,
etc...

in this picture,
this box is his rocket.
the balloons are to make him fly.
this rocket had previously been "beck's house"
and soon after a rocket,
it became a garbage truck.
it is now almost completely flattened,
but he still plays it with it on an almost daily basis.

this boy comes out of the playroom
in all sorts of stuff.
and,
i LOVE it.

this was another flying attempt this past weekend.
he came running out of the toy room
in this get up...
and excitedly exclaimed that
he was "ready to fly!"
he asked me to hold the fan up
and push the "button" on the fan
to help him fly.
he then climbed up that ladder
and gave it his all.
needless to say, it didn't work.

but, don't you worry...
a good imagination never lets you down...
later that night he jumped
off the top of a slide in our house
and upon landing
yelled "I did it.  I FLEW!!!"

oh man, i love this boy.

uh oh

A couple times lately,
I have taken just McKay with me
to run a quick errand
(him, because he is the hard one right now...
It's funny (or not so funny, really!)
how they tend to take turns bring the hard one...
Already working together, I guess)
and it is so weird.
weird for the both of us.

the first time, McKay kept saying
"Uh oh"
and looking over at his brother's empty carseat.
The last time, if I asked him where Crew was,
he got this super concerned look on his face
and started looking around and yelling what I assume was "Crew" in his mind.

these boys have not spent much time (at all) apart.
those first 4ish weeks of their life's when they were in the NICU
was probably the most distance they have had from each other
(although their cribs were near each other, they rarely ever had contact with one another).

Oh, they fight and bug each other on a daily basis...
but, I LOVE watching them interact, grow & discover together.

I also LOVE seeing their concern for one another...

McKay often comes to help me change Crew's diaper
(Crew always seems to have a diaper rash so it's a bit traumatic for him to get his diaper changed).

Last night I put McKay in bed first because he was being super fussy...
Crew was still happily playing...
But, the next thing I knew Crew had his binkie & blanket
and was standing at the gate at the bottom of our stairs
reaching & looking up to their room.

If I give one a bite of some good (new or not),
the other will watch to see if he likes it...
If the first spits it out, you better believe the other will too.

We LOVE our Crewby & Kayby !!!
(as Beck has started calling them)
