I so wish i had been better at documenting the twins first 6 months...
but, i wasn't.
so, oh well!
here is my attempt at something :-)
The twins were 3 months old on 12.29.11
(i forgot to take their picture with the 3 month sticker - dang.
oh well, these ones are from right around the 3 month mark)

Crew 23 inches

The boys got their first long stretch of sleep this month... 7 hours at the same time!
I was still trying to nurse/pump and was getting lots of migraines... which was a bad combination because I couldn't take my migraine pills.
The twins sat in their bumbo seats for the first time! - getting so big!
The babes were pretty fussy and spitting up LOTS this month,
so the doctor put them on some acid reflux medicine which seemed to help a bit.
The boys started sleeping in their own cribs in their own room - big step!!!

I honestly & sadly don't remember much from this month... other than A LOT of crying and being SO TIRED.
The boys did start occasionally sleeping longer stretches at night though - yeah.
Crew earned the nickname "cry baby crew" this month.
The boys started noticing Beck more and more...
McKay smiled and laughed when he saw Beck, while Crew cried (both totally appropriate reactions if you ask me!)
We let the boys try rice cereal a few times, but it wasn't very successful and so, momma wasn't very good at doing it.
Crew rolled over!
We started taking the boys out in public a bit more...
and, honestly, i was just SO TIRED.

I also stopped nursing/pumping...
luckily, I had enough frozen milk to last about a month longer.

6 month stats
Crew 12lbs 9oz
McKay 13lbs 2oz
*McKay barely made the charts this month at 1%... yeah! maybe by 9 months Crew will be there too.

height:
Crew 23.6 inches

Crew is still "cry baby Crew" although Beckley has recently been referring to him as "the cranky one". We see signs that he might be outgrowing this phase... and we so hope he does soon! McKay is still pretty smiley and most often just content.
This month we took the twins to Hawaii! They were great to travel with, for the most part :-) The twins slept GREAT in Hawaii (McKay going 12 hours straight a few nights!), but got sick (Crew had 2 ear infections this month and McKay had an upper respiratory infection) when we got back and struggled with sleeping - dang it.
So, we started sleep training this week and they are doing great! They still wake up occasionally at night, but will most often get themselves back to sleep... eventually :-)
The boys have been eating rice cereal on a daily basis the last couple weeks and have also tried sweet potatoes, bananas, prunes & carrots. McKay started out liking this new solid food thing a bit better than Crew, but Crew has now taken the lead and is eating like a pro (very similar with what happened with nursing the boys).
Both boys have rolled over (both ways), but aren't neccesarily consistent at it quite yet.
McKay seems to be closer to sitting then Crew... while Crew seems to be closer to figuring out the crawling thing.
McKay still laughs at pretty much everything Beck does (even when i fear McKay may get hurt and yell at Beck... Beck will usually say "baby yaughing"... and sure enough, McKay is all smiles!) while Crew most often cries if he even hears or sees Beck (poor Beck).
McKay got his helmet this month and he is totally rockin' it!
The boys seem to notice & interact with each other more & more... it so fun & cute to watch!
I hope these boys become the best of friends!

I love all of the pictures. It is so fun to see how they have changed. They are so cute and look like a lot of trouble!!
So cute. Those kiddos are giving you a run for your money but they are adorable. Plus, you know twins are basically built in bff's for life. :)
Busy times my friend but they are so cute. It will be so fun when they can all run around together. I hope everyone continues to get more sleep. XO
