STILL catching up: Mother's Day 2012

my day started with an early morning walk

around the lake

without any kiddos or a stroller...

and this beautiful view!

loved it.

and, to make it all better...

i came home to this...

pretty darn perfect.

 and, later that night...

i stumbled upon this....

my beckley boy, a DDP, US Weekly and flowers!

what could make it all any better?

how about tickets to Wicked from my hubby!

i am one lucky momma.

bath time (warning: lots of bare booties!)

there may be some booty slapping too... yuh oh!

STILL catching up: Adriano's Birthday celebrations May 2012

On Adrian's actual birthday,

we celebrated with just our little family

birthday oatmeal breakfast!

we went out to eat and then when we came back we enjoyed this...

yummy cookie tower that Beck and I made

this was back in the days of "cry baby crew"!

A few days earlier,

our dear friend Molly was in town.

It was her birthday too,

so we did a special birthday sunday dinner for them both

arepas!

We also went to a yummy Greek restaurant in SLC

with Adrian's family (no kids!)

during the week.

Adrian traveled the week before his birthday,

so when he returned home

we surprised him with an early birthday scavenger hunt!

there were hints all over the house...

each one was a reason why Beck loves his dad!

and there were gifts that went along with each hint.

It was a fun week of celebrations for Adrian!

STILL catching up: June 2012 Beck & momma go to CA!

In June, I was about to lose it and needed a break badly...

my mom was headed to CA for a couple of my cousins' graduations,

so Beck and I decided to join her.

and, Adrian was nice enough to watch the twins back at home.

yes!  we have a birthday here...
(TWO birthdays, in fact!)

we did the babe's birthday party 2 weeks early,

so they aren't even 1 yet.

and, you better believe we are celebrating until it is official.

Beck keeps asking me 

"mom, is it the babes birthday yet?"

and, i say "no, not yet"

and he says "but, it's their birthday in our house"
