today

today it was 50 degrees.

so, 

the kid and i headed outside

and loved it!

here is my sad boy when i put him into his car seat to go home.

is it summer yet?

Beckley's 1 year doctor appointment.

(check out Beck in this same scale when we moved to UT

about 9 months ago)

Beckley had his 1 year doctor appointment on Monday.

Here are his latest stats:

He weighed in @ 20lbs 12 oz. -- the 20th percentile

(considering he started off in the 3rd percentile

we were quite proud of our little guy!)

He is 28.8 inches tall -- the 19th percentile

His head is still BIG -- the 92nd percentile!

this little dude was ALL over the doctor's office --

the Dr. kept telling us that he was "a handful"!

he was all smiles...

until the shots...

but, he was a brave boy and only cried for about 30 seconds

 the lollipop that the nurse gave him certainly helped with the tears

having to get dressed again on top of the shots was, however,

too much for this kid!

Beckley is such a FUN & HAPPY kid!

(he seems more & more like a kid and less & less like a baby these days)

he keeps himself entertained most of the day

(playing with his toys & anything he can find, climbing on EVERYTHING, exploring the house, etc..)

he is walking EVERYWHERE!

(the next 6 months of church - before the nursery - will be challenging!)

he sleeps from about 7:30PM to 7:30AM

he finally is going to sleep on his own!

(rather than us having to hold him until he was asleep)

he is taking naps in his crib again

(we had a rough time with this the past few months)

he is talking more and more each day

he gets very excited about bath time

he is very social! - and likes to wave "hi" & "bye" to EVERYONE

he LOVES other kids

(although he still has not warmed up to the kids club @ the gym...)

no more nursing this boy

(as of this week 

& we are both handling it just fine)

some of his favorite foods these days are yogurt & graham crackers

he absolutely LOVES dogs

he is quite attached to his little blankie & little black stuffed doggy

(he has one in each hand every morning when i go in to get him out of his crib)

he is so cuddly 

& gives big sloppy kisses 

(when he feels like it)

We can't believe how BIG our little guy is getting!

How big is Beckley?

SO BIG!

(after our long road trip)

that we decided to make a few improvements to the place!

I LOVE it!

we painted the office...

(still need to hang the pictures in this room)

 and finally got our new couch...

so so fabulous!!!

 and, my mom & I found this fabulous chair @ TJ Max!  - LOVE.

 we also painted our room

 & our bathroom

Next we headed to Las Vegas to sleep for the night

and then had a brief stop in St George

while Adrian did some more "business".

Luckily we were able to visit some old friends

at their cute Bed & Breakfast -

The Green Gate Inn.

If you are ever in St. George, 

I highly recommend staying at this place!

And, finally we were homeward bound!

We had a great time on our road trip!!!

(and although we miss the warmer weather...

we are very happy to not be living out of the car!)
