this weekend adrian and i went to a track meet at stanford. we met up with my old BYU track/XC coach, coach shane. it was so fun to see him and reminisce about my old running days. he is such a great guy... i was so lucky to have him as my coach. it was also so fun to have adrian meet him (and vice-versa)! it was a beautiful day too.... although, we are both a bit red today... oops.

So, I got an email from my brother today about a contest his bff, Daniel Hedlund, entered to meet Jason Mraz. I guess Hedlund needs 100 people to listen to his song to even be considered for the contest... so take a few minutes and listen. birthday

so, i felt sorta shy about celebrating my birthday this year... for a couple of reasons...

because i was somewhat embarrassed to have another party celebrating me (after bridal showers and wedding receptions over the past few months)!

and also because i have been so bad at celebrating others birthdays the past year. i have always loved helping others celebrate... throwing parties, making treats, and of course giving cards... however, because i was somewhat preoccupied with all of the wedding celebrations over the past year i realized that i have been horrible at helping my friends celebrate. bad me. so sad. (but, don't worry after this realization... Card-collecting-and-giving Caisa is back! your card will be in the mail soon!)

nonetheless, Adrian planned a fantastic birthday party for me... and despite my selfish last year, all my friends helped me to celebrate my 32nd birthday!

THANKS for the birthday wishes, cards, treats and calls!!!!!

Molly brought me a GIGANTIC CUPCAKE on my birthday eve!

On the night of my birthday, Adrian invited a bunch of friends over for cake and ice cream.

The cake was from Icing On The Cake-- banana cake with cream cheese frosting... YUMMY!!!!

JOY IS AMAZING!

My sister-in-law, Joy, won the Longboarding World Championships in France this past summer. A few weeks ago her and Drew went to Australia to receive her award. Here is a picture from their trip:

TAHOE!

Adrian and I spent last weekend in Tahoe with some friends. It is an annual trip that Adrian has been going for like 5+ years... this was only my second year on this trip... and my 3rd time snowboarding ever. This winter has been busy.. so this is first time we have hit the slopes this season. I did okay, but was still pretty whiney... you'll have to ask Adrian about his favorite move of mine. ha.
